STET, as part of the HZPC Group, is an international market leader in potato breeding, the development of new potato varieties, and the sale of seed potatoes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO 
As Product Manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the right product-market combinations and contributing to the international growth of STET. This involves the successful introduction of new and existing varieties, optimizing cultivation practices, and developing effective marketing strategies.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Market Database Development
  Build and maintain a comprehensive market segment database to support market-driven breeding and create product profiles based on market development.
  
  
• Variety Introduction Plans
  Proactively contribute to the successful introduction of new varieties to existing markets in EMEA and South East Asia.
  
  
• Commercial introduction planning
  Manage the commercial introduction plan for each variety and coordinate long-term sales forecasts for new varieties.
  
  
• Variety testing and analysis
  Proactively contribute to the successful introduction of new varieties to existing or new markets. For this, you will obtain relevant data from trials and analyze products to meet customer needs and align with STET’s overall strategy.

• Account Management
  Managing accounts for product management activities and advising on the optimal use of STET varieties for commercial introduction and for developing third party license.

• Optimization of Cultivation:
  Optimize the quality and yield of STET varieties by supporting customers in cultivation, processing, and storage.
  
  

CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, particularly in potato cultivation, and possess excellent communication and commercial skills. You are a creative team player who can adapt to cultural diversity and is eager to contribute to the growth of a leading company in the potato sector.

Skills and Competences:

• Strong communication and commercial skills
• Creative thinker
• Practical potato knowledge
• Team player with the ability to adapt to cultural diversity
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in a second language (French) is a plus
• Willingness to travel frequently (25% of the time)

Education and Experience:

• HBO/WO level education in Agriculture, preferably Plant Cultivation
• At least 3 years of experience in the potato industry
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and BI-tools
